Common Limitations Of Home Theater Systems

By Musa Mustafa

Home theater systems have been a major part of the electronic industry for some time now.The fact that they make people's lives a lot easier could be cited as a reason for their immense popularity.Because of this, people can enjoy watching their favorite films in the comfort of their home without having to go to a cinema.

In addition to this, even the most mundane of shows and movies can be made more enjoyable if there is a home theater system installed.A good example of this is people watching sports with their home theater systems. The surround sound quality and greater sound clarity that home theater systems offer can make crucial matches much more immersive for viewers.

Over the years, since their introduction throughout the world, home theater systems have evolved greatly. While the earlier variants were extremely simple, today's home theater systems are exceptional devices capable of various feats.

This evolution is the direct result of more cutthroat competition amongst the different manufacturers. In order to get ahead of competition, manufacturers made more efforts to improve their products. However, a very surprising aspect of home theater systems of today is that they share their limitations.

Even though most home theater systems found within the market provide great sound quality, they can also be found to have flaws with regard to networking and connectivity. The Samsung HT-E4500 HTIB home theater system is a good example. This is a very popular home theater system that offers exceptional audio quality while being extremely compact. In fact, its best quality is its sound clarity.

Nevertheless, even this device suffers when it comes to connectivity issues. There are no HDMI ports on this home theater system and its networking features have bugs in them.Owners of this system report the need for constant reboots and updating as the networking functions of the device cause a lot of problems.

The story is similar in the case of the Samsung HT-E350 HTIB Home Theater System which is reportedly one of the best in its price range when it comes to sound quality. This home theater system's features and performance are flawless except for when it comes to connecting it to a television. This home theater system has an HDMI output but does not have an HDMI input and therefore disqualifies many televisions from connecting to it.This means that many owners with televisions that require such configurations would find themselves unable to use this device properly.

Another example of this trend is the new PHIT84BK Pyle Home tower speakers. When it comes to playing great quality sound this home theater system stands out.Unfortunately, its phone docking system, according to many owners of this device, starts showing problems too soon. This is a problem related to connectivity that should ideally not occur with this device because it relies on using other devices to play music.

Essentially, home theater manufacturers do not really pay a lot of attention to the networking and connectivity side of their devices. The focus, instead, is on the primary functions of the devices which is the sound quality in terms of clarity and sustainability.
